RABAT, May 29 (Xinhua) -- British company Altus Strategies was granted three exploration licences on zinc and copper in Morocco, the company announced in a statement on Tuesday.
The Ammas and Takzim Est licences are near the central city of Marrakech, while the Arfa permit is situated in the Oriental province.
The three licences cover areas of 87.55 square km, the same source said.
"The award of these strategically located exploration licences in Morocco is an exciting addition to our exploration pipeline," said Chief Executive of Altus Steven Poulton.
The licence areas were selected on the basis of the company's remote sensing programs across terrains considered to be prospective for zinc, copper and other base metals, he added.
