BERLIN, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- German meteorologists predicted that heat waves will come back in full force this week after a short-lived cooling-down during the past weekend.
Temperatures dropped somewhat in parts of Germany on Sunday, cooling down to 13 degrees Celsius on Sunday evening.
However, according to the German Weather Service (DWD), the heat waves will come back this week, with the south bearing the brunt, where the temperature could rise up to 35 degrees Celsius.
Temperature in the capital city Berlin will reach 37 degrees Celsius by Tuesday, and the east of the country will see temperatures as high as 39 degrees Celsius by Wednesday.
The heat strike might relax a bit from Thursday when storm clouds across large swaths of the country will bring cooler airs.
